About Our Site

AboutImmigration was formed to offer a unique reference point on extensive information on immigration in the uk.

The AboutImmigration website aims to provide an easily understood guide to UK immigration. The site covers both the application process itself and information on every aspect of life in the UK.

The laws on immigration to the UK are complex and are in the process of a radical overhaul. UK immigration is a controversial topic and it can be difficult to know where to start when applying for a UK visa or for residence. Apparently trivial mistakes can lead to applications being rejected and the consequences of getting it wrong can be disastrous.

Whilst there are companies who offer to process visa applications, the fees they charge can be substantial and will be in addition to the fees for the application itself. Most applicants will find that they can complete the application process themselves provided they know what they are doing. AboutImmigration contains free, impartial information on each stage of UK immigration - from applying for a visitor's visa to applying for a first UK passport.

UK immigration laws and requirements are changing all the time and it is vital that applicants know exactly what is required before they begin their application. AboutImmigration contains all the relevant information in one place to ensure that visa applicants know how to make a successful application, as well as what they can expect - and what is expected of them - when they come to the UK.
